Northamptonshire duo Tu-Kay & Ryan have invited a whole bunch of their music friends to contribute to a basic track they had recorded. Everyone recorded their own contribution in their home studio and Ash and Rebecca expertly blended it into a fabulous piece of music.
The project aims to raise awareness for The Grey Dog, a charity that puts young people's mental health centre stage.
In Tu-Kay & Ryan's own words:
The Grey Dog is a charity close to our hearts. The Grey Dog is a charity working to change the conversation about mental health for young people.
They believe that talking about mental health should be as natural as talking about physical health. Empowering young people and those who live and work with them to talk openly about mental health.
By raising awareness, providing training, and campaigning for change.
Music plays a huge part in maintaining positive mental health.
We as Tu-kay and Ryan had the idea to create a collaborative project involving local musicians to keep us all going through lockdown and create a track with a positive message that might bring a little joy to people in these challenging times.
And this is what it looks like when it is done. Keep your eyes peeled for Yours Truly.
